Description
The microduct connector is a sealed protective joint made of high-strength PC material, which is used to connect communication micro-ducts to meet the needs of underground pipeline installation ofAir Blowing Micro Cable.
Microduct connectors were developed to connect microducts with each other.Our system enables an easy, fast connection and disconnection of the microduct. The connectors' robust construction resistance to high pressure forces,allowing them to be used in direct buried (DB) applications. The transparent body enables easy visual inspection of the cable with in the connector.

PC Material: The main body utilizes SABIC's PC 243R grade, boasting an impact strength 250 times greater than that of ordinary glass. Through an innovative copolymerization and modification process, this material successfully overcomes the technical bottleneck of traditional polycarbonate, which is susceptible to hydrolysis and aging under long-term heat exposure.
POM Material: Accessories utilize Celanese's POM material, boasting balanced and stable mechanical properties. It is suitable for high-friction environments and easily fits in tight spaces, ensuring stable overall product performance.
SUS Material: Utilizes high-strength stainless steel with a tensile strength of ≥520 MPa, a yield strength of ≥205 MPa, and an elongation of ≥40%. Passing a 120-hour salt spray test, it provides enhanced tensile strength for the microduct connectors.
EPDM Material: Utilizes environmentally friendly EDPM, replacing traditional NBR. It offers excellent ozone, heat, and weather resistance, among other aging properties.

Installation Instructions
1.Preparing the Microduct to be Connector
Take the microduct to be connected, clean it, check its dimension and ovality.The microduct should be clean and free from burrs, cuts, scratches or any other damage before it is inserted into the connector.
To ensure a proper connection the microduct should have a round profile. Microducts with oval profiles should not be used.
Cut the microduct (recommended cut with FCST221064, FCST221071, FCST221062 Microduct Cutter) at an angle of 90°(±3°) and remove any burrs due to the cut by trimming the edges of the microduct with a bevel tool.
2.Installing the Connector
The transparent body of the Connector allows a visual inspection of the correct and full insertion of the Microduct (removal of safety clip is not required) .
The insertion of the Microduct into the Connector requires a moderate force. The Microduct and the Connector seal should not be scratched or damaged during the insertion, otherwise there may be leaks or further mis-functioning. Please, connect the Microduct by hand, without using any kind of tool.

3.Locking Clip Installation
The products are pre-fitted with tamper proof locking clips as standard. If they have been removed, please replace with the correct locking clip after connecting the Microduct.
The insertion of the locking clip between the Connector main body and the collet avoids any possible Mircroduct accidental disconnection.
4.Anti-shock Cover Installation
Although these connectors can be direct buried we recommend a Anti-shock Cover is placed on the connector before the microduct is inserted, especially in very challenging environmental conditions.
The Anti-shock Cover prevents waste, soil, stones or sand from entering the connector during disconnection.
5.Silicone Rubber Cover Installation
Silicone Rubber Cover easy to install, only three steps (Cover, pull and clench),only 15-30 seconds needed to seal one connection.
Can also used in Special environment a silicone rubber cover on the connector before the microduct is inserted,Provides better waterproof and moisture resistance, extends service life, and prevents soil, stones or sand from entering the connector.
6.Remove Connector
Make sure the system is depressurised before removing the microduct from the connector.
Remove the locking clip , then push the collet in the direction of the body of the Connector and pull the Microduct keeping the collet pushed against the Connector body in order to disconnect the Microduct.
